Rescuing the captured crew members of Station 17 forms a core part of the Line of Duty Most Wanted questline in Batman: Arkham Knight. Bleake Island serves as the initial hub where player efforts begin, housing a total of six firefighters trapped by hostile mobs. Tracking down these hostages requires vigilant patrolling across Gotham's northern district, as well as mastering combat strategy against armed criminals.
Starting the Line of Duty Search at Dixon Docks
The quest opens automatically with your first firefighter target located near Dixon Docks on the northern shore of Bleake Island. Firefighter Leary-Wood is being held hostage inside a small security office near the main facility entrance. Taking down the thugs outside allows Batman to secure the room safely and establish the broader quest objective.
Clearing this initial encounter unlocks progress toward tracking the remaining crew scattered throughout the district. Listening to local police radio chatter can often provide hints regarding nearby hostage scenarios.
Coastal and Bridge Hostage Locations
A second firefighter, named Adamson, can be found held near the water's edge just northeast of the bridge leading toward the ACE Chemicals facility. He is surrounded by a squad of six thugs who can be quickly neutralized using environmental takedowns or initiating a Fear Multi-Takedown from the structures above.
Farther south along the shoreline, another firefighter is trapped near the lower crane docks close to Falcone Shipping. Approaching from high vantage points enables Batman to separate armed thugs before initiating a direct brawl.
Chinatown Rooftops and Urban Hideouts
Venture into central Chinatown to locate a firefighter captured on the upper terrace of the Terrace Garden Bar. This elevated combat zone features multiple armed enemies and throw-able objects, making smoke pellets or gadget disables highly effective.
Another hostage named Cannon is stationed near the southern docks of Chinatown, positioned just south of the Clock Tower overlooking the bay. Calling in the Batmobile for heavy fire support nearby can simplify handling the heavily armed gang guarding him.
Panessa Studios and Falcone Shipping Docks
The final firefighter on Bleake Island, Firefighter Wyatt, is held captive on the shipping docks located directly east of Panessa Studios. This scenario plays out as a predator encounter, requiring players to utilize floor grates and breakable walls to isolate guards stealthily.
Rescuing all six crew members on Bleake Island establishes a strong foundation before unlocking subsequent hostage encounters across Miagani Island and Founders' Island. Completing these rescues rewards players with WayneTech points necessary for upgrading crucial combat gadgets.
